So I started the registering process, then I read the terms and conditions rather than just clicking "I agree". Man I am educated, but not an attorney. You need to be one to understand all the little nuances and stuff. You plan on charging us to use this site, sure seems so the way I read it. I just wanted to build rods, get info concerning that as well as helping others. Guess that has come to an end for me. Well other sites aren't charging us yet. Maybe I can help someone there.

Thank you Kerry for pointing this out. The legal information that you saw when you attempted to switch to the new Forum was for us as a Guild and should not have been seen by individual members. The Forum was and always will be free to its members. Please give us time to get this corrected. We don't want to scare off our valued membership. You are important to us. We will take care of this on our end. Thank you, Becky and Harold

Sign-up on the new forum didn't work for me. Told me my name wasn't "valid." Sorry, it's the only one I got.

William Burkett sorry for the problem you are having.
Did you put your name in as William Burkett,
you have to do it without the space, Williamburkett?

OKay, I'm having problems logging into the new forum.

Every time that I login the username/password does NOT work. I then need to select forgot password. type in my email address to reactive typing in new password. I typed in password twice to select it. I then get in. I log off and then re-log back in and the password does not work.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I should have said "does not work" in my note the first time I typed it, sorry about that. That would explain Harold's note below.

William Burkett did that help?

Chester Kriskhafer I haven't had any problems logging in.

you stated "Every time I login the username/password does work."

My question is why if it does work you need to select forgot password?

Because it didn't work when I would login. Then I would get the error message. I would then go and reset it by selecting that option. It would send me an email, select the link, then enter a new password twice to confirm it. I would then get in. Log out to seek if could get back in and I couldn't. Start process all over again.

I hope this makes sense.

I have a problem logging on to the new site. I registered as WilliamBauer but chose my user name as bauerb1. I knew as soon as I hit submit I knew that I screwed up, my bad. I received an email that said I was activated but that does not appear correct. Will someone be able to clean up this mess?

Bill

I can say this, I am overwhelmed by the difference the new site's layout plan. I did however have a little trouble signing into this account and got Harold on the phn and he walked me through it all even telling me about the new site.. I had no issues at all signing into it at all after getting settled into it. very nice,, Keep up the good work.

Ken, you probably are doing what I was doing, coming to this this site (forum) directly. There is no connection to the main site from here and no list of selections that you can choose "photos". What you have to do is change your favorites address book for the Guild to http://www.rodguild.com/ then from there go to this forum via a section selection of 3 choices ordirectly to the photos or other places. I assume over time there might be small changes to allow navigating from all sites such as from here to the main site.

Kerry you are correct, this is a work in progress and we are in Houston Texas at Fishing Tackle Unlimited. Will not be back home until next week to even start working on it again. It is going slow but we are making progress.
