Spiders and Crackle

It seems that I'm infested with spiders. I've been a little behind in my rod building and finally got a chance to work on some rods. The top rod is for a friend and it's a full wells web grip with a black widow wrap, the middle rod is a western style web grip with a spider wrap. I'm starting to see spiders in my sleep (lol). The lower rod is done with a crackle finish on a bait caster All-Star blank. I got some help from Brazil, Marco Antonio sent me a Craquelex kit and I was able to figure out how it worked. I think it really adds a special touch with out a whole lot of effort on my part.

Mark, your work is incredible!!! You once sent me the instructions to do an eliptical. Heck I am still haveing trouble getting as far as building the jig!!! I sometimes think I am directions changlenged. I want badly to learn to do some of what you do as I turn a lot of stabilized wood handles for fly rods. I'll take another stab at it soon. I really do admire your work and talent, Doug
