citation striper

I caught this striper in the Outer Banks while fishing for speckled trout. Fish was 44.5" and weighed around 35lbs. Rod used was a CTS 7' em704 medium power on 15lb power pro. I was using a storm 3" swim shad. What a suprise!!!!!!!!

Yea, I guess so. Guess you had a lot of line on the spool.

I t took about 15 minutes to get her in. She almost made it to the bar when I was able to turn her around.

That is one very impressive fish. To me from a distance it looks a little like a barramundi. Is this a fresh or salt water fish?

Hi Sandra, I caught it fishing the outer banks of North carolina in the surf.

Donald is that come to get that kind of fish in the surf?

Sandra, it all depends on water temperature. There were only three striper caught all week. I was one of the lucky ones.
